Scout 80/800 EVO Suspension Kit

Our Scout 80/800 EVO Suspension Kit (AKA the Elder Kit) is the Benchmark in leaf spring suspensions for your Scout 80 or 800. We Prototyped this kit on our 1962 Scout 80 Build, named the Elder. Our goal with this kit was to keep the original concept of the Scout without all of the short comings of the original suspension. As you probably already know, the original suspension on your Scout has no redeeming qualities. The springs are too narrow, too short and ride like a buck board. What we did is start from scratch. We literally  cut every suspension mount off of the frame and started over. First thing is the springs. We have ALCAN Spring in Grand Junction, Colorado build our proprietary springs. These spring are not something sourced from another vehicle and adapted to your Scout, they are designed specifically for our kit. Our Springs are 2-1/2″ wide and much longer than stock.  Each set of springs are hand built specifically for your Scout. We do not use a cookie cutter, one spring fits all mentality. Everyone’s Scout build is a little different from the next one and we factor this in to the spring rate of your leaf springs. This is how we obtain the unprecedented ride quality of our kit. We use a modified version of our tried and true shackle reverse kit up front, and all new hangers for the rear. Because we have each set of springs built specifically for your Scout, the amount of lift is also specked for each build. We also use premium Rancho 9000XL shocks in our kit this allows you to tune the ride of  your Scout even more.
