***Highly recommend- fast and fresh delivery- insane growth- BEYOND worth the cost.***First of all, the water hyacinth’s blossoms are so stunning. Second of all, if you’re worried about their growth rate, don’t be. They both grow at such a rapid rate that I have had to compost SO MANY. The last photo, with the red circle and x, is a PILE I’m composting today- I have composted a bare minimum of five of those piles since purchasing this item because they are prolific growers and are taking over too much of the water for my needs. Last summer, we only had water lettuce and it was delightful but with the addition of the water hyacinths, the pond is clearer, prettier, and the koi and goldfish seem to much prefer the water hyacinth’s roots to the lettuce’s roots. Note that their roots both create essentially a mat that can slow the flow of water which, especially during hot weather, can lower oxygen levels for your fish. They arrive healthy, I rinsed them and put them in the pond, and within a month they had TAKEN OFF. The water hyacinth blossoms appeared late June and they last a few days so be sure to check daily and enjoy their splendor ? For reference, I’m in Charlotte, NC and have a biofall set up ?
