Design code: BBC/E1 Our Sterling silver Broadford Bay Cockle shell earrings are made exclusively by Love from Skye on the Isle of Skye. These pieces are formed directly from a cockle shell picked up on the bay while playing with our children in the sand. We took the shell back to our workshop and made a mould from the shell, then casting from the mould which allows us to perfectly replica the exact detail of this beautiful wee shell. (This is very different to the way we usually work in our workshop – usually making the first of every design from sheet silver, cutting and forming designs from sheet). Broadford Bay is here in the village. We are so lucky to have access to the bay from our shop, workshop and home where we can enjoy the calmness and take our children to play & learn. This shells each measure 19mm in length.
