KTM 390 ’20-’24 Adventure/RC Cruise Control Cruise Kit

Highly, highly recommended. 150% worth the money even shipped to Australia. You know how much more relaxing driving a car is when you don’t constantly have to babysit your speed? That applies even more on a bike! Imagine the freedom of being able to actually use your right hand when you need to! I will never buy a bike without cruise control again (unless it’s a Veridian-supported model). My brother and I both have 390 advs and both bought these cruise controls. Installation was fiddly on mine because I had already used the very limited space inside the headlight housing for a relay for driving lights (and anything involving disassembling the headlight housing on the 390 adv is a pain), but we didn’t need to remove the tanks (you can just poke the wires through from underneath with a bit more fiddling). In case you’re wondering, it is possible to fit both the Veridian Cruise box AND a regular-sized relay inside the headlight housing (but if your hair wasn’t already grey it will be afterwards). Tested it a few times around town and it worked great. On Christmas day (2024, so two days ago) we rode 4 hours to our grandparents’ place and the cruise control took it from a very long and painful journey to almost a breeze, especially on the freeway at 110km/h (and then of course back again yesterday). It’s tuned tightly enough that it handles almost any hill on its own (I leave it enabled pretty much 95% of the time so long as the road’s not too twisty and there’s no cars directly ahead of me), and being a motorcycle you get enough engine/air braking that even very steep downhills won’t pick up speed. With the 3-button switch you have to be careful not to press the button twice accidentally because they press very easily, but you get used to that. I’m sure it was stressful for the guys developing this product as it directly intercepts the throttle signals and any bugs could be dangerous, but I’ve been very impressed with the build quality and it has worked flawlessly. The connectors are proper automotive grade ones and everything is potted in epoxy inside a 3d-printed housing so I have no doubt it will continue to work perfectly for many years to come. It makes me so happy that a small business can produce such high quality products and I could not be happier to support Veridian Cruise.
